I donate $3 to a good cause for every beer I review, every new brewery I visit, and for every beer event I attend. The money is split equally between three organizations that are having a positive effect on Madison and the world. For more information on the organizations I donate to, please see the information below.
UW Odyssey Project – Offers a University of Wisconsin-Madison humanities class for adult students facing economic barriers to college. Many of the students are overcoming the obstacles of single parenthood, homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, incarceration, depression, and domestic abuse. Odyssey has been the catalyst that enables many adults to transform their lives and find a career direction.
Integrated Liberal Studies (ILS) at UW-Madison – “Thinking independently together.” The aim of ILS is to provide an integrated understanding of the great themes of human inquiry and expression in scientific, political, economic, and social thought, as well as literature and the arts.
FairShare CSA Coalition – Partner Shares – A cost-sharing program that provides financial assistance to limited-income households for purchasing CSA vegetable shares.
$876 donated since September 2014
If you would like to help donate to one or all of these organizations for every beer that I review, please contact me.
