Aroma: Moderate dark chocolate, light coffee background, light vanilla, moderate oak, notes of cherry, sense of alcohol. 10/12

Appearance: Very dark brown, opaque. Light tan head with low retention. 3/3

Flavor: Moderate cocoa, light oak, moderate rich dark maltiness, light-medium vanilla. Perception of sweetness. Low-moderate bitterness. Very light sourness in the aftertaste. Aftertaste drops off quickly and has a light graininess. 15/20

Mouthfeel: Medium light body, creamy. Moderate-low carbonation. Warming alcohol coats tongue. 4/5

Overall Impression: Excellent, complex aroma. Flavor is a bit muted compared to aroma but that could be from the age. Still good eight years later. 7/10
