Aroma: Overtones of tropical hops with notes of pineapple. Muted undertones of sweet malt and bourbon.  7/10

Appearance: Deep brownish amber. Off-white head. Excellent clarity. 8/10

Flavor: A hint of medium malt sweetness starts the beer before moderate hop bitterness takes over in the middle. Toasted, and somewhat dry, malt comes through at the end, although it is subdued and is quickly drowned out by a bitter hop finish. Pineapple hops linger in the aftertaste on a background of dry, toasted malt. 16/20

Mouthfeel: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. No alcohol. 8/10

Overall Impression: Too much hop bitterness (and odd hop aromas) combined with an understated malt profile. That being said, the beer is still enjoyable.  40/50
