Aroma: Overtones of chocolate and mild tanginess. Undertones of yeast, baking powder and soft pretzel. 8.5/10

Appearance: Black with deep red highlights. Tan head. Good clarity when held to light.  9.5/10

Flavor: Dark roasted malt in the beginning, with some toasted malt as well. Coffee notes show up in the middle, followed by mild tanginess in the end, along with some citrus hop bitterness and pickled/vinegar flavors. The aftertaste is relatively clean with some dark malt and bitterness lingering on.  17/20

Mouthfeel: Creamy with a medium to medium-light body. Moderate carbonation. 9/10

Overall Impression: Tangy and bitter flavors provide refreshing sharpness that pairs nicely with the malt, despite sometimes overpowering it. 44/50
