Aroma: An overtone of chocolate with notes of maple syrup and a hint of roasted malt. A small bite of licorice and hops in the undertone. 9/10
Appearance: Black with deep brown hues. Completely opaque, even when held to light. Tan head. 10/10
Flavor: A bit of hops lead off the beer before dark roasted malt shows up in the middle. The end pairs chocolate with notes of coffee before a final rush of moderate hop bitterness in the finish. The aftertaste starts with hop bitterness that quickly fades leaving chocolate and minor sweetness to linger on. 18/20
Mouthfeel: Medium to medium-light body with moderate carbonation. 9/10
